Rob DiRe complained about Stan's NFL Power Rankings so much that Keeping It Real Sports called his bluff and gave him a chance to prove he could do it better. Queens, born and raised, Rob got his start in sports media with WHCS, Hunter College's #1 Radio Station. As a Macaulay Honors College and Hunter alum (and a WHCS Hall of Famer), Rob is a staff writer for ProFootballRumors.com and a contributing writer for TodaysPigskin.com and TodaysFastbreak.com. He also coaches football at Holy Cross High School in Flushing, and is a practicing sports agnostic.

In last week’s power rankings, Rob brought up a good point and his point was sort of reiterated on the post game coverage of Monday Night Football. After Colt McCoy and the Redskins upset the Cowboys, Steve Young, Ray Lewis and whoever the hell else was out there were actually discussing the idea of whether RG3 should be the starter when he returns from injury. Are you kidding me? The very idea of starting Colt McCoy over a healthy RG3 is ludicrous. And at some point, you have to consider the fact that these white coaches and white front office people prefer their white quarterback. In one of the more culturally diverse cities in the country, its sad that things like this are still a topic of conversation.

So for those of you who are looking for insight about each and every NFL team, you might be disappointed. I basically ignore the bottom ten teams of the power rankings. For those of you who are looking for me to focus my efforts on embarrassing one player who didn't ask to be put in the crosshairs, you will be more than satisfied. It really comes close to unhinging the whole concept of dueling power rankings and falls dangerously close to a rant. I definitely make a declarative statement that a white guy shouldn't be in position to make.

Hey guys, Stan here. I don’t have any funny quips or movie lines this time. I’m a little down. Victor Cruz went down, the Giants got shut out and there was a tie last week in the NFL. I hate ties. I’m not going to be cliche and say that ties are like kissing your sister, but I will say that ties suck. Ties are the reason I refuse to watch soccer unless its during the World Cup. And of course, when theres a tie in the NFL, theres gotta be that one idiot that comes out and says, “I didn’t know there were ties in the NFL.” How do you not know there are ties in the NFL? Don’t football players watch the NFL? If you worked at McDonald’s would you also “not know” that theres a dollar menu?

Last week Stan wrote that we were at the point in the season where teams realize who they are. They might realize, but I am totally lost. The Bears are obviously much better than the Panthers, until they aren't. The possibly very good Saints, Eagles, and Steelers all barely beat a couple of atrociously bad teams. The Packers and Patriots couldn't have looked worse last week before laying the points on this week. Every team is messing with me.
