NBA Game Of The Week – Pelicans At Wizards (11/29/14)

The Other Guys –

New Orleans Pelicans vs Washington Wizards 7PM (EST) November 29, 2014

I don’t know how good the Pelicans can be. I do know how good Anthony Davis is. Davis the stat sheet marauder consistently makes us marvel at what he can do and how far the things he can do can take him. One thing that is for certain is that the breaks need to be pumped on when it comes to Anthony Davis’s top 5 status as a player in todays game. He still has a long way to go and I know I am not going out on a limb by saying that about a 3rd year player.

Still Davis has escalated to a stratosphere where he is getting easily put above players like Demarcus Cousins, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul even somehow rivaling Kevin Durant’s standing. Davis has done nothing to spark this but just like Paul George last season we are all to eager to spurn proven players to crown the next great one. That results in Paul George is better than Carmelo Anthony and possibly as good as Kevin Durant type utterances. Anthony Davis can be the next KG but he is not KG just yet nor is he (2011) Dwight or 05 Duncan or (2003) Kevin Garnett.

Game Highlights

So what am I saying? Im saying lets chill out, lets appreciate Anthony Davis but lets not get carried away. Lets give a little more praise to the guys who have been in the top 20 player rankings for the better part of the decade. Fatigue by familiarity strikes every year but let us have a seat and appreciate our top 20 players instead of trying to move in the new so rapidly.

Funny yet contemplative and always seeking to find out whats unique and make it relevant to the readers. Your just as likely to smirk when you read his material as you are to think. Hoops and Boxing is what he loves so a lot of what Danny writes about will be about the sweet scientific hardwood. Nothing is outside his boundaries, so be prepared for articles that read outside the box.
