A Double Treat for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama sure knew how to squeeze a secret out of someone. According to Peoples Report, when Mariah Carey was performing at the ‘Christmas in Washington’ TNT special, the Obama’s surprisingly asked the couple were they expecting twins. Mariah could not hold back anymore and admitted that her and Nick are having twin babies. At first, the couple wanted to keep the news on silent until they got further along in the pregnancy. However, with all the excitement, Mariah Carey decided to spill the news. In fact, yesterday, Nick Cannon announced the wonderful news on his morning show, ‘Rollin’ with Nick Cannon”. Nick calls his new bundle of joys “DOUBLE the TROUBLE”!

Although the couple is overjoyed with the baby news, Nick and Mariah are still being very careful with letting the public in on their personal lives, especially after the devastating miscarriage in 2008. During an appearance on Access Hollywood, Mariah Carey stated that she had a miscarriage right after her wedding with hubby Nick Cannon.

“It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened… I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy”, Mariah admits.

However, the tragedy caused the couple to stay strong and eagerly want to try to again for a family.

“It definitely brought us closer together.” “It strengthened our relationship so much… She handled it so well,” Nick Cannon told Billy Bush.

This pregnancy sure brings joy to the overwhelmed couple. Mariah is glowing gracefully and Nick is smiling from ear to ear. The holidays will be even brighter with this DOUBLE TREAT that is waiting to come. Happy Holidays to Cannon family!!
