W.O.W. BOYZ Taking Music To Another Level
A wise man once said, that an artist can try so hard to incorporate something for everyone, that instead of making a great album, he puts together a project that painfully consist of nothing but noise. To much of everything can usually result in an unorganized banter, but if done properly with just the right amount of every element, you can achieve what only a few have had the ability to do. But this doesn’t just apply to an individual song or album, it also meant for those artist who join forces in an attempt to garner attention from all parts of the market. Most fail but a few get it just right, and it looks like we just may have run into a group of men who have once again gotten that formula right. In this review I will discuss the groups overall skill, and how it proves to be a successful formula for to becoming one of the brighter stars in the entertainment industry.
Songs
Everything seems to be there for these aspiring artist, at first glance they look like an edgier Pretty Ricky, but after listening to their music you can tell that they are far from it. What stands out for these gentleman is their ability to tap into whats popular in music today without seeming repetitive or boring. They can make a song for the ladies Tonight and have it not feel like it was directly for the woman, because their lyrical skill and rhyme delivery is strong enough to make it a quality track for the most love sick listener or the avid Hip Hop head. Their incorporation of Auto-Tune also helps to give the singing portions of their song a slicker edge that adds to the overall feel of their music.
Lyrically
In this new generation of hip hop, lyrics have taken a back seat to the way a beat bumps, when an artist does actually have some lyrical skill most mainstream fans find themselves turned off because the said artist makes their lyrics to complicated, or has a track with all skill and no content. The WOW BOYZ have something that many new rappers lack, and older rappers have run out of; potential, they have not completely tapped into the talent that they all posses. They do the small things which makes a performance work. they have the proper breath control, when working with the mic, their clear and concise, not mumbling over their lyrics like some artist do, the flow is fluid and easy to follow, and they all seem to have the ability to adapt to whatever form of production that they are on. Not overly heavy on metaphors, the word play could use some improvement along with the vocabulary, but overall they do a pretty solid job.
As stated earlier these young men are very talented, but it takes more than talent to make it in an industry that has had its fair share of garbage men for success stories. If they stay true to their original Mission and keep on making great music, it will be no surprise to see the WOW BOYZ as one of the premiere groups of the future. Hard work, dedication, and a continued passion for having the perfect mix in such a complicated formula, and we just may be looking at future legends in the game.
