The first thing that people think of Brandon Jennings is that he scored 55 points in his 15th game of the year, even though it was against the Golden State Warriors who have an atrocious defense.  Jennings is not a product of the system he is put in, he has actually led the Bucks to a better record and a win in the playoffs against Atlanta. Considering that many people thought he was not going to make it in the NBA, He has proven to be more than just an average point guard who can score.

Jennings has shown that he can score and dish the ball and make plays on defense. His intensity on the court matches with others at the same position such as Westbrook and Rose. Spectators claim that he is just a scoring point guard with out watching his style of play. In the 1st quarter of the season he was averaging over 21 points and 6 assist per game. Jennings had to score a lot of his team’s points because they did not acquire Salmons or Stackhouse, so Jennings went on a scoring streak knowing that he was the only one that can perform consistently. Sadly he went on a slump were he started shooting 30 percent, which people were predicting. Scott Skiles was a big factor in helping Jennings realize the potential that he had into becoming a true point guard.
Jennings unselfish play distributing the ball to a variety players made Andrew Bogut and John Salmons relevant again in the league. Jennings improved the chemistry of his team and gained their trust into knowing that he can lead them back to the playoffs. So before you pass off Jennings as the next Iverson, actually watch when he plays and involves other teammates and still be able to score when he needs to.
