The 2015 MLB All-Star Game is nearly one month away. As the Great American Ball Park is set to play host to the Mid-Summer Classic, baseball fans are frantically casting their votes for their favorite all-stars. In turn, KIRS counts down to the Cincinnati showdown by taking a look at the potential candidates to start the 86th annual All-Star Game – position by position.
Following a 2014 season which showcased Derek Jeter’s final playing days in pinstripes and finalized with a memorable “David v. Goliath” postseason showdown, baseball is back!
The votes are in and the final rosters have been revealed for this year’s MLB All-Star game taking place on July 15th at Minnesota’s Target Field home of the Twins. A few new faces are on each roster but the biggest story will be the one old face making his final trip to the midsummer’s classic. Derek Jeter voted in as an starter in this year’s game will be making his 14th and final all-star game giving a fitting tribute to one of the game’s best short stops.
