It has finally happened LeBron James is officially an NBA Champion after his Miami Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in 5 games. James earned Finals MVP honors to cap off the impressive run in which he took a team that was on the brink of elimination all the way to the title.
This was the second consecutive appearance for the Heat, after losing to the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. This was also their second Finals appearance in the “Big Three” era.Their other Finals appearance was in 2006 when they defeated the Mavericks to win their first NBA title.
