Brooklyn Nets

The Deron Williams era for the Brooklyn Nets played like a Diplomats reunion in 2028. It never felt good and the hopes of it eroded quicker than that other team in New York’s bad contract extended to an aging player who’s best years were behind him. For Nets fans Deron Williams was hard to get and it was never really a joy to tune in and watch him. For the most part Deron Williams was reticent, apoplectic on the court and off, it seemed like he knew the Brooklyn part of his career was a failure in progress.

Are the Nets good? Are they average? Is Brook Lopez a go to guy in games that really matter? I ask myself every time I watch a Nets game, which is often since I have adopted the Brooklyn Nets when they came to the borough I was born and raised in. Last year the Nets looked like a crafty team that could snake and sneak it’s way in to the eastern conference finals with the waning Pacers and whimsical Heat. Now about a month into the season I do not know where to peg this squad.

Brooklyn Nets vs Golden State Warriors 10:30PM (EST) November 13, 2014

I write this halfway threw the second half of the game of the week. That’s the Warriors VS the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have to many issues and while I am a Nets fan I know not many people see them as a top tier team in the eastern conference (tho I think they should be but we will save that for another piece.). For now I want to talk about the Warriors.
