NFL 2015 Power Rankings – Week 2

32. Cleveland Browns (1-1) (31) – Even though the Browns won, they did so against a lesser opponent than the other teams in this part of the rankings. Beating the Titans could mean nothing down the road, meanwhile some of the other teams grouped down here beat some legitimate opponents. Next game: vs Oakland Raiders

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) (32) – For the record, I still believe this team is hot garbage. Joey Bosa, this is your future. The Saints defense is trash and the Bucs took advantage. Next game: @ Houston Texans

30. Tennessee Titans (1-1) (27) – I told you last week, Titans fans…even a broken clock is right twice a day. Today just wasn’t your time. Next game: vs Indianapolis Colts

29. Chicago Bears (0-2) (26) – The Bears aren’t very good. They have a lot of injuries and now their getting a little unlucky to have run into a buzzsaw in Arizona. Its not everyday Larry Fitzgerald has three touchdowns but this was the week he did it and it happened to be against the Bears.Next game: @ Seattle Seahawks

28. Washington Redskins (1-1) (30) – The Skins looked good. But I think the Rams just had a down day. Thats all it was. A bad day for the Rams and a good day for the Redskins. Next game: @ New York Giants

27. Oakland Raiders (1-1) (29) – The Raiders showed a lot of fight against the Ravens. Its almost like they believed they could win. i guess its easy to believe when the other team’s best defensive player is out for the season. Next game: @ Cleveland Browns

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1) (28) – I like when coordinators from good teams go on to become head coaches and try to turn bad teams around. I think Gus Bradley is doing just that. He’s got the framework in place to build a wining team. Wins like this help. Next game: @ New England Patriots

25. New York Giants (0-2) (23) – Theres a bright side to the Giants being terrible. If they miss the playoffs again, theres a good chance they fire Jerry Reese. Giants fans need that for the greater good. Next game: vs Washington Redskins

24. San Francisco 49ers (1-1) (25) – I know. They lost. They shouldn’t move up. But the Giants are bad. So bad that the Niners could get railroaded and still move up in the rankings. I see a lot of the Titans in San Francisco…by which I mean what they did in week one was probably fool’s gold.Next game: @ Arizona Cardinals

23. Houston Texans (0-2) (20) – JJ Watt deserves better than this. Next game: vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

22. St Louis Rams (1-1) (21) – Dude…what happened? We expected so much more. The Redskins ran all over them and they couldn’t get their own run game going. They’re going to have to pick it up against the Steelers now that Le’Veon Bell is back from suspension. Next game: vs Pittsburgh Steelers

21. New Orleans Saints (0-2) (18) – Oooph. I don’t even know what to sat about this one. I mean, losing to Tampa like this is brutal. Next game: @ Carolina Panthers

20. Miami Dolphins (1-1) (15) – Its not so much that they lost. Its that they lost to a team they definitely should have beaten. Ryan Tannehill played as good a game as he could have. The defense let them down a bit. Last year I was raving about Cameron Wake. This year, he’s been pretty quiet. The secondary was pretty useless too. Next game: vs Buffalo Bills

19. Buffalo Bills (1-1) (16) – The vaunted Bills defense let me down. For the record, I still believe in them. Tyron Taylor showed a lot of fight and they didn’t back down from the big bad Patriots. Next game: @ Miami Dolphins

18. Atlanta Falcons (2-0) (24) – Dear Atlanta Falcons, You’re Welcome. Signed, The New York Giants. Next game: @ Dallas Cowboys

17. Kansas City Chiefs (1-1) (14) – It seems I got a little ahead of myself. My bad. Next game: @ Green Bay Packers

16. Detroit Lions (0-2) (13) –  The Lions are bad, guys. They’re not good. They couldn’t run the ball, Stafford really hasn’t progressed and while I didn’t think they’d win the NFC North anyway, they’re really not helping their cause if they want to make the playoffs. Next game: vs Denver Broncos

15. New York Jets (1-0) (22) – Imagine what this team is going to look like if Sheldon Richardson comes back this season. i think he will, I just don’t know if it’ll be after week 4. Next game: vs Philadelphia Eagles

14. Carolina Panthers (2-0) (19) – Maybe I’m missing something but how are they winning? How, Sway?! Next game: vs New Orleans Saints

13. Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) (12) – A lot of mistakes cost them this win. Jeremy Hill hurt them. The Chargers are good though. They shouldn’t feel so bad. The AFC North is up for grabs and this is the Bengals best chance to make a run in the playoffs. Next game: @ Baltimore Ravens

12. Minnesota Vikings (1-1) (17) – Did anyone really think AP would have a second bad game? Come on now. Open your eyes guys! The Vikings are a good team. They’re going to make the playoffs. Hop on the bandwagon, there’s still room! Next game: vs San Diego Chargers

11.  Baltimore Ravens (0-2) (10) – I’m sort of back and forth with this team. One on hand, I don’t think they’re good. On the other hand, they did battle really hard, plus they lost Terrell Suggs for the year…but that battle was against the Raiders. So yeah, they suck. Next game: vs Cincinnati Bengals

10. Philadelphia Eagles (0-2) (9) – The Eagles might be in trouble. Their offensive line couldn’t get the running game going and the defense let Tony Romo (and then Brandon Weeden…BRANDON WEEDEN!!!) look really good against them…all without Dez Bryant. Next game: @ New York Jets

9. Indianapolis Colts (0-2) (6) – Relax everyone. The Jets defense is really good. Andrew Luck is fine, theres no reason to worry. The AFC South is still pretty much locked up for the foreseeable future. Next game: @ Tennessee Titans

8. San Diego Chargers (2-0) (11) – I said it over and over. Philip Rivers isn’t just an elite quarterback. He’s an MVP candidate. And you know what? No one listened to me. Here’s what I say to that: https://youtu.be/YBoIoJVVp5c  Next game: @ Minnesota Vikings

7. Seattle Seahawks (0-2) (2) – All week I couldn’t see how the Seahawks would start 0-2 even though they’d be playing Green Bay at Lambeau. I was sure they’d figure things out and get the win. But of course, that didn’t happen. Marshawn Lynch isn’t running the ball well right now and it seems for all the hoopla, the Seahawks haven’t used Jimmy Graham. Whats up with that? Next game: vs Chicago Bears

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) (7) – I decided to keep the Steelers here at 7 because even though they played extremely well (See: Antonio Bryant) it was against the Niners. I’m still reserving judgment on this team. Next game: @ St Louis Rams

5. Arizona Cardinals (2-0) (8) – My god what a difference a good quarterback makes. What. A. Difference. Next game: vs San Francisco 49ers

4. Dallas Cowboys (2-0) (5) – Losing Dez and Romo doesn’t help one bit. Even Jason Witten is banged up. This offensive line is still very good and this division is still very bad. Next game: vs Atlanta Falcons

3. Denver Broncos (2-0) (4) – The problem is that Peyton got hit a lot. I still don’t think this offense fits Peyton at all. CJ Anderson doesn’t look good either. Luckily the Chiefs remembered Alex Smith is their quarterback. The Broncos defense played very well. Next game: @ Detroit Lions

2. Green Bay Packers (2-0) (3) – The Packers lose Jordy Nelson, they’re fine. They lose Eddie Lacy, they’re fine. I think they’re fine. Next game: vs Kansas City Chiefs

1. New England Patriots (2-0) (1) – What a fool I was to think that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick weren’t going to walk into Buffalo and take care of business. How silly of me. Next game: vs Jacksonville Jaguars
