The Tank For Wiggins Division

The #TankForWiggins division needs a new name; the public got so caught up with the number 1 High School recruit that we forgot about the other recruits this year. Whether it is #ScandleForRandle or #BarterForParker (Alright I am working on the latter) teams in the NBA have shown the EXACT opposite for tanking for these players.

My Original Five Tank Teams

  1. 1.     Philadelphia 76ers
  2. 2.     Phoenix Suns
  3. 3.     Utah Jazz
  4. 4.     Orlando Magic
  5. 5.     Toronto Raptors

Only TWO teams have decided to stay in the division while the others have gone on to play mediocre to pretty decent basketball. There are teams that we ALL have high in our own personal power rankings, which has falling in the tank division.

5 Brooklyn Nets

O Lord this team looks terrible, it is a sight to see Joe Johnson producing but can everyone else follow suit? It seems that Jason Kidd cannot get this team to gel and play consistent basketball. KIRS went to watch the Nets play against the Detroit Pistons and it was a truly abysmal effort through our eyes. I predict that they will not stay in this ranking for long but with their injuries halting their progress, only time can tell what this year can bring for them…Wait they don’t have time because of their old superstars that they have but that’s beside the point. Especially losing back to back games with a 20+ margin will not make any Net fan feel well.

4 Philadelphia 76ers

Remember when they defeated the Miami Heat?!! I don’t because this team has lost 8 out of their last 10 games and are back on track to their rightful tanking position. I do not know which is more surprising, Michael Carter Williams as the leader in the rookie of the year award or Evan Turner playing solely to get traded to a contender. Seriously is in top 5 in clutch scoring this season and he has not been shy to TRY to take over a few games.

3 New York Knicks

I am sorry New York fans; I did not want to personally put this disgrace of a New York team here. We all see that the real MVP of the NBA is Tyson Chandler as; this team only has won TWO games since he has been injured. What’s more pathetic is that Carmelo Anthony is the only person attempting to put effort every game. Raymond Felton is a donut away from being Karl Winslow, JR Smith talking shots like he’s at Greenhouse and with all the trade rumors, Shumpert has been playing like a shell of himself. What’s even worse about this whole ordeal? The Nuggets would get our pick we end up in the lottery so basically The Knicks are tanking for another team! The only good thing that came out of the Garden is the Yeezus Tour (Which was AMAZING but we will save that for my twitter)

2 Utah Jazz

I shall explain the Utah Jazz in 2 words, Jabari Parker

1 Milwaukee Bucks

We have a new number one in the Rankings *Confetti drop from the ceiling* Congratulations Bucks fans, you are one step closer to winning the Wiggins sweepstakes. Ever since Larry Sanders broke his hand throwing a patron bottle at someone in a club…wait let’s pause for a second

  1. How did Sanders hurt HIS hand throwing a patron bottle?
  2. Does Milwaukee “Turn Up” that much in their clubs for Sanders to throw bottles

Back to the matter at hand, this team is horrible. After acquiring OJ Mayo, Caron Butler, Brandon Knight & Gary Neal, I would think that this team would be adequate for at LEAST a 9th seed. Now they are 3-15 with the aspirations of landing the number 1 pick.

Even though most of the teams in this division are from the Eastern Conference, they could easily slip out of this division because of the serious issue with the East. The 4th seed is 8-13, so any team including the Bucks can pull it together (Highly doubt that) and make it to the playoffs or an respectable record.
