Game Recap: Nets Slay Warriors Minus Williams

The New Jersey Nets came home from their successful trip overseas to extend their first 3-game winning streak since the 08-09 season. Without the franchise face, Deron Williams (on leave for the birth of son), the Nets stepped up to win 94-90 against the Golden State Warriors.

Player of the game, aside from the usual Nets stars, is new face Sundiata Gaines added to the team on a second 10-day contract. Gaines was a difference maker both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, finishing the night with 8 assists and 4 steals. Gaines also grabbed a clutch offensive rebound off of a Vujacic miss to help seal the deal. Whether it was a Morrow 3-pointer, a Farmar assist, a Humphries block or a Wright board the team work pulled the Nets to a win tonight.

Congratulations to Deron Williams and his wife on their 4th child and to the New Jersey Nets for breaking the 3 game win-streak curse.
