On February 1st, 1995, John Stockton passed Magic Johnson as the all time leader in assists in a win against the Denver Nuggets.

On February 1st, 2004, Adam Vinatieri kicked a 41 yard field goal with four seconds left in the game to give the New England Patriots a 32-29 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII. Also just as memorable, Janet Jackson’s nipple was exposed on live television when she had a wardrobe malfunction during a performance with Justin Timberlake.

On February 1st, 2008, the Lakers traded Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, two first round draft picks, and the right to Marc Gasol for Pau Gasol. The Lakers have since gone on to two NBA Finals appearances and two championships.
