NFL 2015 Power Rankings – Week 6

32. Tennessee Titans (1-5) (31) – I’m not sure what the timetable is for Mariota’s injury but it can’t be good to lose your starting quarterback. Next game: vs Atlanta Falcons

31. Detroit Lions (1-5) (32) – Stafford played a great game and this was just a case of the last team to score wins. I thought they could go 0-16 and now I’m made at them for screwing that up for me. Next game: vs Minnesota Vikings

30. Cleveland Browns (2-4) (30) – At some point the Browns fortunes are going to have to turn. To hang in there against a good Broncos defense, and turn Peyton Manning over three times is impressive enough. They just didn’t have enough at the end. Next game: @ St Louis Rams

29. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) (28) – Someday soon the Jaguars are going to put enough talent on this team ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL to help Blake Bortles. Did he throw three interceptions? Sure, but he also threw three touchdowns. Next game: vs Buffalo Bills

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3) (29) – Bye Week. Next game: @ Washington Redskins

27. Washington Redskins (2-4) (25) – What exactly do the Redskins do well? They don’t run very well, they don’t pass well consistently and the defense isn’t good at all. Not surprising they lost to the Jets. But 196 yards to Chris Ivory? Wow. Next game: vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

26. Oakland Raiders (2-3) (26) – Bye Week. Next game: @ San Diego Chargers

25. Kansas City Chiefs (1-5) (20) – Man, you lose one really good running back and the offense shuts down completely. Next game: vs Pittsburgh Steelers

24. San Francisco 49ers (2-4) (27) – The Niners are starting to hit their stride. They played well in a loss against the Giants and got a win against the Ravens. You have to like what you saw defensively and Colin Kaepernick is starting to do the things that made him such a dynamic quarterback earlier in his career. Next game: vs Seattle Seahawks (TNF)

23. Chicago Bears (2-4) (23) – I picked Chicago to win because the Lions are so bad. I guess the Bears are just as bad? Next game: Bye Week

22. Houston Texans (2-4) (24) – DeAndre Hopkins is incredible. He fears God…boi. Thats really all I have to say. I don’t know if Brian Hoyer has kids but his next son might have to be called DeAndre. Next game: @ Miami Dolphins

21. Miami Dolphins (2-3) (22) – Ryan Tannehill has this weird tendency to be super underwhelming early in games and then suddenly turn it on late. Its really annoying and I wish he’d stop. Dan Campbell gets his first win as a head coach over a bad team. Good job. Next game: vs Houston Texans

20. Baltimore Ravens (1-5) (17) – Man the Ravens suck. I remember when this matchup against San Fran would’ve been a marquee game to watch. It was still an entertaining game but damn these two teams are bad. Next game: @ Arizona Cardinals (MNF)

19. New York Giants (3-3) (18) – Perhaps I was foolish to think the Giants were going to win this game and make a run. While its not too late and the division is doody, losing games like this to the Eagles isn’t going to help things. Next game: vs Dallas Cowboys

18. St Louis Rams (2-3) (21) – Bye Week. Next game: vs Cleveland Browns

17. New Orleans Saints (2-4) (19) – Wow. Who saw this win coming? Not me. Definitely not me. I don’t think it means much though. As a matter of fact, I predict them losing their next game. Next game: @ Indianapolis Colts

16. Buffalo Bills (3-3) (14) – Who would’ve thought the Bills’ success would rest on the shoulders of a sixth round pick playing quarterback? Nah I’m only half kidding. The Bengals got all up in that ass. It would definitely help them if they got Taylor back soon. Next game: @ Jacksonville Jaguars

15. Dallas Cowboys (2-3) (15) – Bye Week. Next game: @ New York Giants

14. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) (16) – The defensive line really picked it up. If not, Sam Bradford would’ve really cost them this game. Three interceptions? Garbage. Next game: @ Carolina Panthers (SNF)

13. San Diego Chargers (3-3) (9) – The Chargers threw 65 times. Completed 43 of them for over 500 yards…and STILL lost to the Packers. Next game: vs Oakland Raiders

12. Seattle Seahawks (2-4) (10) – There wasn’t anything that the Seahawks couldn’t do…except defend late in the game. Or early in the game. Or in the middle of the game. Bobby Wagner being out was a huge part of this. Next game: @ San Francisco 49ers (TNF)

11. Minnesota Vikings (3-2) (12) – Its a great sign that the Vikings didn’t need Adrian Peterson to have an insane game in order to win. Teddy Bridgewater didn’t have a great game either. The defense did step up but with the weapons the Chiefs are missing (Jamaal Charles) the Vikings defense had a clear advantage. Next game: @ Detroit Lions

10. Indianapolis Colts (3-3) (7) – Who knows what would’ve happened if they hadn’t called that weird trick play? Maybe they pull off the win. But they didn’t. And they look dumb. Even dumber that the coaching staff defends the play. Next game: vs New Orleans Saints

9. Atlanta Falcons (5-1) (8) – These Thursday night games are tricky. Something tells me the Falcons weren’t ready for the Saints to come out that aggressively. Next game: @ Tennessee Titans

8. Arizona Cardinals (4-2) (4) – Thats a tough one to drop, especially to a third string quarterback. Luckily the rest of the division isn’t doing that well. Next game: vs Baltimore Ravens (MNF)

7. New York Jets (4-1) (13) – The scary thing is that Sheldon Richardson is on his way. The Jets are winning games the way I love to see teams win games. Running the ball and playing good defense. I know everyone is talking about the Patriots but don’t sleep on the Jets. Next game: @ New England Patriots

6. Carolina Panthers (5-0) (11) – The Panthers have to be for real. Cam Newton put this team on his back against a really good team. Next game: vs Philadelphia Eagles (SNF)

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) (6) – Why hasn’t Landry Jones been playing all along? He played really well and it took a Michael Vick injury (that we all knew was bound to happen) for him to come in and get a great upset over Arizona. Next game: @ Kansas City Chiefs

4. Cincinnati Bengals (6-0) (5) – The Bengals are for real. Andy Dalton has figured something out and its working. Gotta be happy for Marvin Lewis. Next game: Bye Week

3. Denver Broncos (6-0) (3) – Is it time for the Broncos to move on from Peyton Manning? I think its time to start thinking about having the conversation. He’s leading the league in interceptions and the Broncos are winning despite that. Next game: Bye Week

2. Green Bay Packers (6-0) (2) – I wish there was the catchy name for the run of wins the Packers are putting together. Its really impressive and needs to be acknowledged. Next game: Bye Week
1. New England Patriots (5-0) (1) – The “Gronk You” tour continues… Next game: vs New York Jets
